Spalding Well Represented on All-Star Teams Many of our boys have participated in All-Star Team tryouts over the past few weeks, and should be congratulated on their tremendous efforts in representing Archbishop Spalding on the fields. Several players have been called back to the last round of tryouts for the Freestate Team, and we wish them luck!!! MIAA Sports.net: Spalding slips past Severn, 8-7 Spalding has been the biggest surprise in MIAA A Conference lacrosse this season, but the Cavaliers nearly had an unpleasant surprise of their own, as they let a big early lead disappear and had to battle their way to victory Friday night. |

Capital Newspaper: Brian Cooper named Athlete of the Week Cooper scored six goals last week to lead the Cavaliers to a pair of tight victories, including an overtime score to beat St. Mary's, in a 2-0 week. Cooper, a Maryland recruit, scored three times and had an assist in Archbishop Spalding's 8-5 victory over McDonogh, and he did the same to beat the Saints Friday. |

Baltimore Sun Faceoff Blog: Spalding Alum T.C. DiBartolo earns weekly honors DiBartolo captured the Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Week award for the second consecutive week after he made 20 saves against Georgetown and 13 stops against Detroit Mercy, moving into fourth place on the school's all-time career saves list with 460. Fellow Spalding Alum Andrew Scalley, a freshman starter for The Mount, has 10 goals, 11 assists on the year. |

Capital Newspaper: Spalding state its lax case For the first six-plus minutes of yesterday's Gerry Case Memorial Lacrosse Tournament championship game, Broadneck looked like it would capture its own title for the first time since 2007 and maybe in a comfortable fashion.
Instead, it was Archbishop Spalding that walked away with a relaxed, 11-5 victory and the championship trophy.
